137.9 for E10 today which wasnt as bad as I was expecting, I think diseasel was 158 ish

Surge the market to bring down prices.
IIRC they are not "giving it to the market for free" so it will be sold
at the high rate, and if the price comes down, refilling would come at a cheaper
rate.

At least some people are trying to do something.

156.6p for diesel today, somebody said it’s come down. I don’t know, been laid up the last two days.

I'm not sure if this should be here or in the things that bug you thread, but I've just filled up in Tesco at Llantrisant (down in the land of rain and dragons doing a bit of DIY for my lad) at £1.50 a litre for Diesel. Subsequently driven 5 minutes down the road to see an old buddy and its £1.45. :vsad:

From the Evening Standard - One filling station in London is selling petrol for 238p-a-litre as prices at the pumps climb steeply amid the war in the Middle East. The Standard went to a Gulf petrol station on Sloane Avenue in Chelsea on Tuesday where prices hit 238.7p a litre for unleaded petrol and 264.9p for a litre of diesel.

That's probably the normal price round there. The folk using that station aren't the sort who will look at the cost before they pull the lever on the pump. In fact the folk using that station are probably filling the car for the person the chauffeur around!

I've seen mostly around £1.56 for diesel in Glasgow but the station on the switchback had £1.71.9 Jaw dropping. (I think that's £7.82 a gallon)

On the other hand, its a good job cars don't run on beer.

Currently 185.9 for diesel at Burtonwood services M62. Almost 30p dearer than the BP garage just off the motorway.

I don't believe in all this fuel prices increasing rubbish that you see in the media.
Last night I put £20 of petrol in my car at my local garage I do this every Thursday.
And guess what? it cost £20 exactly the same as the week before.
