nice one !
Cheers bud
nice one !
I spent nearly six hours reading the whole thread.. Don't know why on earth I never saw it till last night , I eventually got to bed just turned 0422 hrs.
Steve it's nice to see a tradesman & his work after far far too many years of not seeing one . I love fibre glassing , over the years I've made all manner of small one off things many with inbuilt wood , plastic or metal reinforcing strips or panels in them.
Will you be putting some flat stainless expamet cowling round the air filter element ? I had a vision of seeing your car coming towards me in my dream this morning with a hint of it behind the cowl grid panel .
Take care of that leg , do take a day or three off during this highly unusual heatwave and get the leg up slightly higher than your butt cheeks . I have an odema in each calf which balloons up if I stay on my feet for much more than an hour or if I stand still for a few minutes. One day things came up I became tired and I got very breathless ..realised something was wrong , got my lass to whizz me to A&E 13 miles away .. turns out I had a life threatening blood clot in my right groin some of which had broken away and reached my lungs .. had it been in the left side groin I doubt I'd be here trying this post .
My mate Jason popped in to see me and asked why the diff was on the floor so I explained that I couldn't fit it in my current predicament so being the good old boy he is offered to pop it into the case for me.
That's the sort of mate we all need.
They are rare although when you build Hotrods it's amazing how many more mates you aquire
Question.
Where did all your skills come from ? Do you have an engineering background ?
that gesture your mates making is that Hotrod speak for move it 2 more inces or what ?
Love the workmanship. Did you go for UNC tapped threads because you had the hardware to suit or is there another reason. Everything I touch in metric. I know the USA parts you are using will be in many cases American thread standards, so wondered if you did this to keep everything on the same 'standard'?
Whats the correct terminology for the bolts you use ???
Always in awe of your skills Langy..........
Gis a job?
sounds like your Sue has planned a get away Steve
i thought the plan was for you to take it easy for a bit???????Hope not as I got the coupe out
