If you've got a spare piece of Ebony or Box laying around. Or maybe some well seasoned Oak?

Purple Heart is an excellent timber, very dense and can take a good hit from steel without disintegrating. Best of all it’s cheap!

I got some of it out. That's about as much as I can do...ran out of gas and cant get to the press...so it will have to do...

After careful examination I am not happy with the handle....so I will put this to one side for now until I get more gas...

It would be easier to cut the formed handle off (if its not separate already) and make a new rod than straighten that one.

Most probably yes. Its bent in just about every direction

Depends on how hard the shaft is, I would be tempted to try taking the key out, putting it on an anvil, or a piece of RSJ and giving it a few "taps". Drive a pin into the hole first. Heat would do it. Maybe something has fallen against the lever, or fork truck etc accident. The handle is bent too, and not in the direction of operation.

definitely....you cant beat the full head whitworth. Same as the nuts and washers..proper sizes and not like this stuff made today.
