You can get electric powered scrapers, but they are very expensive and obviously not worthwhile if you are only scraping one machine.

I will be investing in to a biax scraper next year.

Just a question as I'm not knowledgeable on scraping, but when a part is badly worn and going to require a huge amount of scraping is there any reason why you can't use a mill to remove most of the required material, or a surface grinder, then come in with a scraper for the finishing bit when there's not that much metal that needs removing?

Wish this part was finished but not yet. Got to make a relief cut then scrape the doves.

It does look to bad to be honest. I was having a look the other day. There is wear on the bed. The normal tram lines. Will see if I can find a picture. As for my plan.... if it's in need of attention then I might get it ground. But if its minimal then I will just clean it and leave as is....

I like coburn power scrapers, but I would as I apprenticed 200yds from where they were made so thats what the old timers had!
Never used one though, as old george mole (ex Herbert and my mentor)said ‘don’t use that boy you’ll just ruin it quicker’

Yer blue diamond still do re grind . If I had a 10 ft long camel back that was 350mm wide....I would do it myself.

You don’t need a huge camel back
Five footer ,15” surface plate, a level and basic measuring equipment.
Thats the art of scraping not just matching surfaces.
Mathew look made a you tube video on it under the guidance of a ex craven scraper.

Today's task.
Cut the relief in. And make a start on the tails
