just booked the recovery truck to bring her home .

Saturday dinner will be interesting when it arrives as it will be my first chance to see exactly what ive bought .

HopefullySoon...all in the greater good for sure. I generally find Amazon Prime and there one day deliver service amazing....for timing packages to arrive while the missus is out and I'm at home!!

The trick is not to stick too much packaging in the recycle bin on the same day...I tent to use the boxes for templates...that way it looks like old boxes instead of new

The good news is if it takes you a few years to do it will be tax and mot free if the new rules kick in, Thats something to tell the wife when she finds out

guy who used to take me to work owned one. In a light puke of beige color, It was cold.wet & had a damp smell in winter months, But in the summer it was cool & dry. Due to the factory fitted climate control around the window and doors. But it was great when he'd drop in the Farley of Fairy overdrive to overtake a few slower moving vehicles. a great car

Good luck with the project and hope you can keep us all updated at regular intervals say daily or at least once a week

yes its arrived , its sat on the front drive atm while i strip out what the last owner stripped ready for the welding

Im not homeless nor sleeping in the spare room lol

I had a ride in a V8 with someone I worked with back in the '80's - great fun.

A good trick for spouse placating is along the lines of “I saw it and thought of you, sitting in the passenger seat, as we bowl along on a summers day. Maybe you could put together one of those picnic baskets, with all the period bits and bobs, just to finish it all off.” And so on..........

I have done the wife to hubby version of that on more than one occasion.

To be fair, my husband hasn't complained about having a Saab in bits on the drive. He has enjoyed having a project we can do together and, if anything, he hogs all the welding these days. He doesn't know what I have spent accumulating bargain spare parts though.

Sorry for the late update

Spent yesterday tidying up my underground workshop /garage on the off chance it could handle the slope .

As you can see it did ! Result As the garage holds a constant 16-18 deg C that should make it more comfortable!!!

HopefullySoon....great result on getting it in the garage. So much nicer working indoors when it's cold + you can close the door and just pretend it's not there when you get feuds with it!

the drivers side is much worse than the passenger ..... so i'm going to start with under the bonnet and inner wing areas in the photo , and work my way clockwise around it until I have reached where i started . Then Ill look at the wings (fenders) , valence ect

just ordered a sheet of 1.2 and 1.6 zintec steel to make repair panels from .
