Hi, One that amuses and annoys me is people writing 'defiantly' instead of 'definitely', It's not picked up by spellcheckers because they are both legitimate words. It just shows they don't proofread it.
Colin
That happens when people write definately instead of definitely and spell checker steps in
Gumtree's search facility's really bad, maybe even worse since ebay bought it, the cynic in me says that it's too their (eBay's) advantage if it remains cr@pGumtree doesn't look for spelling issues/differences either.
I helped my uncle jack off his horse, kind of thing.Aah... But therein lies the problem.
Incorrect spelling and bad grammar often leads to confusion over
the intended meaning.
Such as; You're nuts or your nuts.
Agreed. And we will suffer the after effects and consequences of that time for years to come. The worst ones are those who were brought up through the Bliar "ejumakashun, ejumakashun, ejumakashun" years, where they were taught that standards don't matter and expression was the only thing that mattered.
Or god damn American spelling. :-)Yes I hate when people shorten everything. Like "what's 4 dinner tonite?"
I mean what time does that actualy save? Just spell like a normal person FFS.
I also hate when people mix up their and there etc. I do judge them for this where perhaps I should not but can't help it![]()
I didn't get that at all. I had to google it and then it hit me. I wasn't seeing hydraulic reading it. Slow start to the day.The world has changed, even the guy that printed this thought it was ok.
