Mis-spelling search for fb marketplace?

First off, I didn't get any A's for English so I'm not criticising anyone here...

Browsing fb marketplace using the nearest first feature I find a lot of items with spelling mistakes in the title.

Last little nugget is a "whole press"
It appears to be a press for punching holes.
Possibly the seller just ment he is selling all of it but the description says the vice is not included
It's been relisted with a reduced price several times...

There are several search engines for ebay where you type in the correct words and they then search for items that are not spelt quite right.
Ebays own search also matches up via the item description text which doesn't seem to happen on market place.

Anyone know of a similar search engine for marketplace?

I blame changes in the education system where it's apparently regarded as more important to convey meaning than bother with 'correct' spelling/grammar - seems it's too difficult nowadays to achieve both.

Not having a go at any teachers present, that's just the way it is.

Our English teacher - Mrs Ainslie - was a little more earthy back in the '60's.
She taught us the difference between knowing your **** and knowing you're ****.

Lynne Truss (careful with spelling there!) wrote a nice little book called Eats Shoots & Leaves. Excellent birthday or Christmas present for a youngster.

There's a subtly differently titled Illustrated version for toddlers by Bonnie Timmons which I didn't know about until today.

ETA: the profanity filter is set very tightly! Think that which oozes from a nappy.

A lot of the spelling mistakes originate from auto-correct or predictive text rather than not knowing how to spell. I suppose the person is still responsible as they did not check (proof-read) before submitting the item.

The eBay typo. searches work because it is an open interface - you do not need to log in to eBay to search (same as Amazon). The third party website can submit the search query on your behalf. On FB marketplace, unless you are logged in, you cannot search. That is what makes it difficult to do what you want.

There are keyword typo. generators around (e.g. https://www.internetmarketingninjas.com/tools/online-keyword-typo-generator/) but you would have to paste the results manually into FB. That particular one is not smart enough to see how 'whole' and 'hole' could be swapped.

Yup, just blame the teachers. All their fault. In fact they are wholly responsible for the demise of current society in Britain Scotland.

This is just an example of how atrocious my their spelling is.

Many people just spell as they speak, add in some "'hood speak", a little "txtspk" and we see the result. Should "OF" is a common manifestation of spell as you speak and is depressingly common.

Yes I hate when people shorten everything. Like "what's 4 dinner tonite?"

I mean what time does that actualy save? Just spell like a normal person FFS.

I also hate when people mix up their and there etc. I do judge them for this where perhaps I should not but can't help it

Do you know how some people try to console me when I have had enough of that? They say "Their, there, they're".
