I live in a semi-detached 1950s house and I am at home with work. Next door brought a dog and it would not stop Barking for 20mins after postman or delivery man, car driving passed the house etc.

This went on for over 6 months and it really twisted my Mellons upto the point I would go out for a walk when dog went off on one. My mood changed and was not my happy self. So i found myself turning up the TV or music trying to block the sound of the dog barking as it was unbearable.

Other half said she would go round and tell them the affect the dog is having on the both of us. I didn't want her doing that and it should be me as man of the house etc and the fact I never heard them speak English and I said your wasting your time.

Not once had I seen them walk the dog so I think dog was not getting the attention and care it should be getting .

Then one day no barking and so on next day and day after . Over a week passed and still no barking then to my surprise dog was been collected by a dog walker every other day.

Other half told me she went round and had a talk with them about situation. We have not had any barking since almost 6 months later.

So talking can work just not me doing the talking. Thanks to my other half.

When you read in the news that some **** was caught driving four times over the alcohol limit, caught on video swerving all over the road, eventually hits a biker head on, launching him into the air... yet he gets NO jail time, just a fine and some unpaid work....... you realise the system is designed in favour of the scum bag law breaker.

They average chav knows there is very little punishment coming his way if he gets caught, they have nothing to lose.

This country is teaching the next generation that crime does pay.

Given how crowded we are on this wee rock - the elephant in the room is that the vast majority of people (overall) feel that we are a "Civilised" nation & society - when in reality its a bunch of powder kegs, each just waiting for a tiny spark.

Collectively "We" are barely more civilised than our ancestors - we just aren't HUNGRY. After all, a Zebra can stroll past a Lion without a care... if the Lion recently ate!

The truth is - is that when push comes to shove - to survive your neighbour would wrap a 2x4 round your ear - if they were hungry enough, and you had food, and they did not.
"We" aren't civilised - "we" are just not hungry. I think Govt knows this, and part of the keeping of the peace, the management & control, is making sure the "bottom rung" have enough food & amusement to stop them kicking off

I live just off a main road about 500 yards from a roundabout. So the boys like to race away from it in their cars. It doesn't bother me at all, it's just a shame that they all seem to have cars and not motorcycles any more. In my day it was bikes with no baffles in.

I admit i havent grown up as of yet

i still play music loud, i still have my car gear and the loud air horns that i have i also made many jump out of there skins with them ( i wanted the bull horn but the train horn would be just as good )

but even ive taken off the back box before now

played chicken, street raced and with a few trusted friends play catch up with cars even played water skimming with a sierra

ive had my fun and still do when i want to do the whole issue of today is no one has anywhere to go to have fun its been ruined

where you could go play and have fun theyve shut down all because of snob moaners

so now they moan because its done on the streets or where they can do really you cant win

I even asked the new neighbour if the music i play is too loud or not as im trying to be fair and dont want to upset anyone yeah i like loud music with bass me and daughter has had a few rows on whos got the loudest stereo i won and thats before i pull the big one out and play it

We had a screaming baby for months, that seemed to go on for hours without pause.
Then we had a 'single mom' with a kid that would run the length of the house and back, thumping of feet, over and over.

Final straw was a couple who screamed and swore and fought almost every evening. I went round two times to ask politely if they could keep it down because it was upsetting my daughter and keeping me awake. All apologies and promises from the guy, but nothing but hateful glares from his chav partner.

Nothing changed, it carried on, every night I would sit watching TV, just waiting, dreading the shouting to start again, it wore me down, I hated the evenings. I even considered moving into the loft of my big garage in the back garden. Eventually I could stand it no longer and we sold up and moved, to a detached bungalow.

Some people are just beyond reproach, no matter how nice you are to them.

My partner and I did discuss about selling up and definitely a detached next time. But things have improved dramatically.

I did it very begrudgingly, as I built a big workshop in the back garden, had a generous single garage at the front, and parking for 4+ cars on the drive.

He made the mistake of bringing it into the garage I worked in for an MOT test. I don’t think I ever had such a large list of failures? All of them justified . We had peaceful nights for ages

Better to fit a length of 15mm speedfit pipe to it so you're sure it reaches the cat/DPF filter.

Talking about DPF's don't suppose has a Nissan Navara D40 DPF lingering around. They used to be ten a penny with all the scrapped Nissans but they are long gone.

an old git 2 doors up from daughter had 2 cars and out of badness to the neighbor in between parked one outside so he couldnt reverse his van of his drive easily it made it a nuicance for daughter backing out as it was on a bend in road she went along and asked him nicely if he would park further along .he said no next door blocks my view with his van so its staying put next thing he gets a visit about it from councill and also wasnt taxed or tested someone grassed him up
