What is the differential pressure sensor offset value? should be <0.008kPa with engine off, if it's over that or fluctuating then a defective or contaminated sensor is likely. MAF should be closer to zero but be aware that as it's a hot film sensor, the longer it's active with the engine not running, the greater the value (both airflow & IAT) If it turns out to be a defective fuel vapouriser, then it is possible to 'tell' the engine management that the DPF has been replaced when it hasn't, then run a forced regen. to enable an accurate soot & ash level to be calculated. They should know this but are most likely playing it by the book as a forced regen. on a potentially seriously overloaded DPF isn't risk-free.Got 1.3g/s MAF with engine off. Is that an acceptable zero error? 100 Kpa atmospheric 101Kpa intake all off.
It's booked in on thursday....they also seem to think the dpf is suspect. If the burner needs replacing with a genuine Ford item looking >£K1. They also say they can clean the unit if possible.
