Is it worth just moving lock stock to Lincolnshire? I don’t know much about you so don’t know what you have tying you to Essex? Just a thought rather than trying to juggle 2 seperate places. I know staying there when you have work for it sounds a good plan but when you come away for any period of time you’ll be stressing that it’s so far away and you can’t keep tabs

Unfortunately the rates valuation changes in April, gov values it much more than market value so it looses small business relief so rates are the same price as the rent
Even the no longer present bridge cranes were rated and the cctv as there’s more than four cameras
I intend to save it and my money I paid for it
It’s not a possession thing , it needs to survive on account of rarity and it’s usefulness in keeping other stuff going

The old timer that owned the business is coming down Saturday along with his grandson . He installed the machine so knows how it comes apart
The machinist and his worker are doing a long weekend this weekend
Versalift booked for Thursday 9th , hopefully road is good enough, there was a versa there the other day so hopefully

Can you "subdivide" part of it and wink wink nudge nudge rent that part to someone else? You can qualify for small business rates relief then.
I wish I had done that. My warehouse is just over the threshold. All the units by mine got £25k covid grants - we got nothing
