One of Bob's mates has a couple of 100t+/m HIABs I think. One I seem to recall got written off after a collision with a bridge, all the safety interlocks possible yet nothing to warn you you're about to drive off with the HIAB raised up above the cabThe biggest HIABs go to about 90 ton/metre.
Calling @8ob with his HIAB lorry...From the limited look around the machine and studying the photos i think we have to start by pulling the electrics out, so control console removed, separate control cabinet disconnected, labelling as we go, then remove all the way covers/concertina bellows, support the grinding heads with slings, unwire them, drop them off, then remove/uncouple motors for the beam traverse and raise, then supporting the beam either from above or more likely (without the crane) below, remove or uncouple the leadscrews.
The problem is we don't have a big van to move any serious amount of kit or bulky items. It's all very short notice on the auctioneers part. A week to remove, auction finished on thursday.
Transport text me a hour ago to let me down.
I’ll take that off .That slotted bed alone would have made a jig/workbench to die for.

Yes, a machinery dealer tells me he get's more money that way, especially on "antique" planers.I’ll take that off .
Several months wages gone and a machine that’s test report shows it could grind over 3m straight to 1.5 microns is going to hellThat's heartbreaking.
Well its not from not trying mate...more money down the drain plus man hours organising, all for nowtI found someone who’d just do the haulage if we got it apart . You can’t beat time
I thought you had bought the thing and were well on the way to dismantling itSeveral months wages gone and a machine that’s test report shows it could grind over 3m straight to 1.5 microns is going to hell
No it’s not easyI thought you had bought the thing and were well on the way to dismantling itLooks like something that could be easily moved once in bits. That pos crane of mine is 28ton mtr and will pick up 13tons close in, pretty sure that could of picked it up in its component form.

£3000 it's yoursThat slotted bed alone would have made a jig/workbench to die for.
