excellent , love that it was a bargain and more so that it will be being used and kept in fettle ,win win .I put a cheeky bid on a way grinder , just for sport as it was less than scrap and I’m still ruined from Xmas , I really didn’t think I’d win !In Europe these make big money and the vendor wanted five figures before his health declined to a point that a auction agent was called in

I remember putting a cheeky bid on a Harley Sportster on Ebay, late one night, knowing it would never win....I put a cheeky bid on a way grinder , just for sport as it was less than scrap and I’m still ruined from Xmas , I really didn’t think I’d win.
No need there is/was a very similar machine stuffed into this building:If I could only ship My Clausing Colchester that far.
The market dictates tbhLike others, when do you think you'll be up and running...will you just offer bed grinding or also offer saddle turcite/scraping? I have an M300 ripe for some TLC
Premises I’m still figuring out what to sell to pay for transport@pressbrake1 Is that pic taken in the Seller's premises or yours, and how does one go about shifting it? Call @KimB ?![]()
As long as it’s the lathe and not youOoo, I can feel my old Colchester Triumph stripping itself to bits ready....
Machine shop I worked in back in the 80's had a brand new Colchester lathe installed just before I arrived. I had to 'share' it with one other guy as and when. His idea of taking a chuck off was to undo the dogs then shove it until it slipped off the pegs and crashed down to the slideway.I think first job will be the Colchester mastiff my father left me, I treated it bad
Good machines for earning money on as quick and non fatiguing to use
OUCH!Cheapest quote to move it £10500 plus vat
I’m in trouble … again![]()
It does indeed! That sounds like a @KimB sort of job!
I'd bet at least 30 tonOUCH!
How heavy is it? Surely a low loader accompanied by the biggest hiab for lifting wouldn't cost that much?
Where is it? I may know someone who can help.
