Thanks all -it's been fun, thanks for the support too.
Short drive up the private road today lovely and smooth- it does have an extended crank to start, expect this to be 1) smaller battery 2) ECU Idle learn 3) starter on it's way out

Few things to do :

Weld up sill patches,
Weld up the big hole under the rear seat I made to get the tank sender out
fix the drivers door handle (someone been in there before me again)
MOT
fix the turbo whine/whistle if it does not go away with a run,
fit the tow-bar I got from RWD3M,
replace the rear window trims
A few totally unnecessary modifications

Right, back to work! First 3 things on the list above:

Weld up sill patches,
Weld up the big hole under the rear seat I made to get the tank sender out
fix the drivers door handle
MOT

Decided to leave the enlarged sender hole under the seat, it's not structural and a big 'ole mess would be made from welding it. Put a 50mm bung in the 50mm access hole I cut though.

Pulled the drivers door card off, someone in too much of a hurry to a) remove the inner cover without trashing it or b) fix the problem had been there before me..



Bit of a faff but hopefully fixed the little lever locky doodad, at least the door opens now.

Sills after a hammer tapping session it would seem only the rear O/S has a problem




So I cut it out.



... And ran out of daylight...
