Fancied having a play to see how far they can be modified/enhanced with regard to the basics & such, but didn't want to risk cocking my existing one up. Plus, when they finally release their AMS, I can have one single spool, & one with AMS.

Yes, I know, I'm a sad ba****d who needs to get a life.

I just like this printer. Good build quality, (as evidenced by my first unit), & glass rather than plastic door & lid just says quality, to me. Plus good print quality, so what more can one ask. For what they cost, it's good equipment for the money, IMHO.

Just hope this one's arrived undamaged.

It'll be nice when they finally announce the release date for that. I'm guessing they'll fly off the shelves when it's released.

I've been quite amazed how well it prints without support, especially that lid riser.

On the topic of the lid riser, I was running it with all the vents opened and the glass lid on and the printer complained that the enclosure temp had hit 40C (I'm printing PLA, and the sun is shining on the back of the printer). So I've removed the lid and the temp has dropped to 35C.

Suspect it will be happier when it's not so hot outside.

How're you getting on with it?

Even though I tend to not set off a print unless I know I'll be at home long enough to see it through to completion, (I'm not one for leaving a 3D printer unattended in use), I got a bee in my bonnet about setting up remote access. Octoeverywhere seemed the most plausible option. Yeah, right. I've not been able to get that up & running. I seem to turn into a compleye div every time I start reading the doc's regarding setup.

Yesterday though, a penny finally dropped. I thought: I've got a Teltonika router. Why not just set up a vpn or suchlike.

Guess who feels a right muppet for not thinking of the simple, perfect solution first.
