Cracking job, guard looks totally in keeping with the machine style too

Well, I'm calling this done. I do have to fit a tall end guard and one day I'll get around to hooking up coolant but for the time being I'm very satisfied with how it's come out. I wheeled it outside for some daylight pics.

Funny that Rob Cox and I both finished our rebuilds of the same machine on the same day!

Hi Pete,

I've been using bodged up temporary spark guards on the end of my Eagle surface grinder for too long. I searched the forum for eagle grinders and your post resurfaced (I remember reading it before). How is your guard/coolant system working? I only do dry grinding and I'm not sure that I want another major project on my hands when an end guard may suffice for my needs.

The coolant and guard work great. I also had no tray or spark guard, mine are made from ally angle and sheet. The vertical guard is held on by magnets.
