You might be able to juggle shims between valves to get the clearances that you need, ball ache though.I've just done a quick valve clearance check and found all the inlets are tight, either right on the 0.20mm minimum or just under
One exhaust valve is a bit loose and another slighty tight. This is going to be a ball ache as the shims are expensive and I need a special tool to get them out.
Anyone think this might be the problem?

If the clearances are only a knatts cock out then I cannot see them being your issue.
Last ones I did were on a gpz1100b1, and that was nearly 30 years ago.Ball ache is very true.
I've done them on bikes before and even with a bunch of spare shims is a PITA, at least there's only 8 on this!
Being a knats cock off not making a difference is what I thought too, I'm about to recheck everything now it's light.
Last ones I did, I vowed Id pay a proper bloke with a selection of spare shims to save the hassle!Last ones I did were on a gpz1100b1, and that was nearly 30 years ago.
I did the 16-valve head on my XJR1300 in 2007 (wow, longer ago than I thought).Ball ache is very true.

This one is actually listed as being for Toyota with the same part number you listed above
Might be worth a shot. I suppose if it doesn't fit I can modify it but that will mean I have to get some gas for the welder
