Anyone else had problems getting one of these?
- have ordered 3 so far, first ones cancelled as he was "out of stock", but still had listings on ebay but £20 more,
the other 2 both demanded an additional £30 after the sale to cover "extra" shipping costs...
if you look at the seller info, they're all listed in the same street in China, irrespective of seller id or claimed country of origin...
Received one of these Monday, ordered Thursday from eBay.
Any advice for fitting in a van
Spot on advice.Mounting the fuel pump at 45degrees with the outlet pointing up helps bleed air out.
Somewhere in the instructions it'll tell you how to run a purge cycle to fill the fuel lines with fuel and you might need to run a few cycles before it'll run. If you don't purge it you'll get an no flame error when you try and start it. You'll be able to see bubbles in the fuel line.
Bin the clamps for the exhaust pipe and get some mikalor clamps that wrap round the pipe, I found the ones supplied with my heater pinched the pipe which created a small leak.
Running it on kerosene/heating oil is cheaper than diesel if you have a seperate tank. I just paid 68p a litre for kerosene.
It also works as a pretty good signal jammer for FM radio, when it fires up it causes a huge amount of interference on the radio.
These are CE marked.thats why the big guys get CE marked, its to do with emc regs ,old enough to remember all the fallout about CB radios blocking signals
