i have no idea.
some places sell it as kero(sene), some as paraffin.
all i know is that whatever it is, they both work.
costs about £2 a litre, tho, either way.
At that price, it should be Parafinn as its now dearer than petrol.costs about £2 a litre, tho, either way.
dearer than derv too so why bother using itAt that price, it should be Parafinn as its now dearer than petrol.
Isn't it cheapest just to run it on red?
will these run on veg oil? or a mix of veg oil and derv
Too smelly and burns your eyes, kero burns a lot cleaner definitely burns hotter too
I have just taken the plunge on a boxed self-contained version with inbuilt fule tank, will be interesting to see how it performs.
That's what I am going to do (or get someone to do) as i am expecting to be able to return to work early next year, so am trying to make life as easy as possible now. The Woodburner is good but takes a while to get going and I need to keep it topped up. Space heaters are no use to me as they release too much moisture. Will speak to my workshop landlord, i can make an exhaust hole I'll think i will buy one.

Like mine, much neater and takes up less space.
I vented mine to the outside, there are posts somewhere of when I made a baffle to stop 'blow back'.
All works brilliantly!

100 percent veg oil failed
50/50 veg oil diesel pass
muffler issues
just to note here you can run a radiator on the exaust output
it will "pass" short term, but coke up (apparently ) longer term, on 50/50

campervan/motohome, diesel might be more convenient.
if you already buy heating oil, that wouldbe cheaper?
