the false bottom is easy to make, some perforated SS, an angle grinder, some SS kitchen cabinet handles and some plastic beer line
I made a cardboard template and made sure there was clearance around it for some beer line, then cut the perforated steel with the angle grinder and put 3 kitchen cabinet handles on each side, offset as shown
The handles allow the wort to run out and make it easy to remove. next, to make a seal so grain can't get past, you need to slit the plastic beer line lengthways. For this you need a bit of wood, an old bracket, assorted washers and a Stanley knife blade.
The big washer keeps the tube in place and the others get the blade to the right height, simply push the tube through until there's enough to pull it. The bit of tube on the right is to stop you impaling yourself on the unused blade.
The simply push the tube onto the steel and your done.
