Never a better fit for the brew room.
Its my first time so expect beginner questions, to start, how do you measure the water?
We stood the pot on bathroom scales and filled it with jugs, perhaps a hose next time.
It's been half an hour and we're at about 50 degrees, aiming for 66.
The plan was BIAB but our bag turned out to be an 18" cheesecloth so instead we're mashing in the pot, sieving/straining into a bucket, cleaning the pot then tipping it all back in for the boil.
This is our recipe, I'm worried its going to be a bit on the bitter side so I'm debating skipping the first hop addition.
