You sure about that knighty ? Surely that wouldn't expel the air and would just push it back up further into the systemhaven't used one and don't know the name... but gave mechanic next door a hand once for 2 min... he used a pressure system that pushed fluid back up the system from the bleed nipple..... worked really well
no idea what other people think of them
I know it as back bleeding. Pushes it from the nipple up into the res.You sure about that knighty ? Surely that wouldn't expel the air and would just push it back up further into the system
Yeh thanks James, that was one I had looked at, think I might get that one. I bought a pressure bleeder years ago which worked on tyre pressure, didn’t like it and it stopped working, unknown eBay brand, at least sealey is well proven. The ones that work on a car tyre are absolute ****.
I have this one: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/35358558...RBRY5mxSPi&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY but not this seller.
Work really well. You can back bleed easily with it. I use it on trucks.
Yes I’ve got a compressor, up Until now I’ve always just pumped the brake pedal to bleed the brakes, BMW master cylinders don’t like this, it knackers the seals, I found this out the hard way with my X5.
Hence why I want a pressure bleeder, also makes it easier to do it solo.
I’m a bit of a DIY guy, and have a few cars, and my plans now that have my workshop is to be working on cars to buy and sell them as a bit of a sideline, so diy is the way for me. I don’t like paying for work I can do myself ….. and that includes house Diy, and owning a 100 year old house jeez I go to work to have a break!Coincidentally I stopped in at my Indy in Inverness yesterday morning before hospital clinic/Edinburgh visit to have the fluid changed on the E60, total invoice came to £41 odds.
At that price (Inc iDrive reset, although I could have done that myself) it seemed like a bargain for two years brake service costs....![]()
