I never use mine as a mirror as all I would see is the top of the seats due to the position I have it (on dash) and even if it was where a rear view mirror would normally be then I wouldn't see anything as the van has no windows in the back I think it does work ok as a mirror though when you switch off the screen but I would have to check. Mine is always on rear view so it imitates a rear view mirror which is perfect for me and certainly no issues with poor/fuzzy images so far after about 3 years but I suppose next time I am in the van it will pack up .@Hood think I've made a poor choice with this mirror dashcam in the link above. The hardware looks pretty good tbh but the "mirror" is an issue. I took it that it would be a normal, regular mirror when not displaying the front/rear image. It's just one big screen. Aside from that there seems to be a problem with the rear cam working only intermittently. Then sometimes it just displays a screen of "fuzz". I don't think I can get on with this.
