Without a very sharp Stanley blade...no leaks or kinks on pump in tank.....how did you cut the hoses ?

if you used a hacksaw or somesuch that could produce bits, that may have caused the next problem the bits might have got to the high pressure pump, depending which pipes you replaced ie the post filter.Without a very sharp Stanley blade...no leaks or kinks on pump in tank.....
Yes I get what you mean. .I was very careful in all the pipe cuts and everything was clean.....if you used a hacksaw or somesuch that could produce bits, that may have caused the next problem the bits might have got to the high pressure pump, depending which pipes you replaced ie the post filter.
Not as yet but have read they can cause problems and are common to play up..that's my next port of call before I pull the main preasure pump.Have you removed the pressure sensor off the end of the high pressure pump because that can be contaminated, just by touching it with a finger, the filter is that fine !
OK cool...my friend is coming round tomorrow evening we are going to check the fuel rail preasure valve and preasure volume control. ..this will hope make a diagnosis of the problems. .if its the preasure valve at the back of the pump then I will replace the pump and valve together. .expensive but at least I no its new...I think it will be the injectors next...when you / if get the new one they have a plastic cap on the end to save you touching the end only remove this at the last second before fitting.

I will replace them with new...I wouldn't be surprised if they go next to be honest. I will keep you updated. ..good luck with injector job then ps if you have to strip the top off to pull them with the slide hammer or puller they very rarely work again when rebuilt.
I did one a few weeks ago!!
You have on big tank with two half's. It is supposed to push diesel from one tank to the other to maintain tank level. ...I thinkstupid question how much fuel is in the tank??
has it just run out of fuel as you said it runs out before its empty
try putting a few gallons in first

I don't use email hardly to be honest. On the invoice tank pump is used double ear clips...PS do not use jubilee clips on diesel pipes they cause all kinds of air leak problems use, either crimp type spring type or proper fuel pipe screw clips, or none at all, just the pipe tightness I have seen it often where the pipe sealed better without a 'jubilee'
Yes that's what I was thinking. .I have one in tank pump with a gauze filter on the bottom. .that's all nice and clean..there in a big black plastic pipe that crosses to the other side with a gauze filter and a one way valve....now the pump side is full of diesel and the other side empty and fuel gauge is registered half tank witch is correct. ...They dont all have two pumps btw some of the earlier types have some kind of splitter system again I did one 320 last year that had only one in tank pump called a splitter jet pump, but two pick ups and somehow it jets the fuel to the front and keeps the two levels maintained possibly by a venturi effect causing a depression on the none pumped side BUT it did not have the pump under the passenger seat floor. It was suffering pick up strainer blockage its Quite a common fault now, the gauze filters blocking, have found quite a few recently, maybe if one gauze is blocked it could cause an imbalance on your system .

predictive text kicking in ??I don't use email hardly to be honest. On the invoice tank pump is used double ear clips...
OK. ..I don't use jubilee clips...I use double ear clips....predictive text kicking in ??
that is what i had in the one i did, and stripped both units out and cleaned them.this is what I have in my tank..
I will go through everything again just to make sure. ...that is what i had in the one i did, and stripped both units out and cleaned them.
