Does ya brain in sometimes...and it can just be a case of eliminations that's time consuming and expensive. ..are them swirl flaps in the inlet manifold. ...I feel your pain
My saab when it works is great..when it doesn't....it drives me spare...worst being the ECM going fritzy and causing it cut out randomly...tried about a 100 different things before realising that the only thing I hadn't checked was the ECU....
at the moment its got sticking swirl flaps / gunge in the inlet manifold (as its idle is kack..quick blip and it sounds better...
Timing belt is getting done next year so i'll get the manifold off then and get it cleaned up
