Transwave phase convertor

I want it running ASAP to replace the invertors on my Harrison 600 universal Mill and use its own control gear and return my 1956 CVA Toolroom lathe to 3 phase and again its control gear. Yes
I can machine and weld Titanium but electrics are not in my skill set :-(

all it is doing is monitoring the three phases are in range i believe and if not kicks out the whole set ??
ie if the artificial phase is drawing too much it prevents damage to the motor

Thanks @normspanners I guess you take the 11 pin base out and simply wire it in the same ? It only takes 1 phase out controlled by the contactor next to it
as we have 420 v @ 2 phases and 0 at the 3rd

Some appear to drop additional capacitance in on the volt drop from a motor start.
Some seam configured to take capacitors out of circuit once at motor run voltage.

And if we connect a good motor it simply blows the fuse in the plug which my electrician said should happen.

That looks to be an undervoltage relay but yeah something similar in overvoltage flavour should do - its a bit tricky at mo because I'm on my phone but I can have a proper look tomorrow.

Unless you know exactly what it's doing I'd always try and advise going for the closest spec you can find in terms of contact ratings etc with the one your replacing.

If you buy a standalone unit the the 11pin base would be removed anyway, sometimes it can be tricky to get different relays to match up with different bases.

It will be wired into an appropriate breaker once we measure the load on the CVA lathe

Wow i have never seen one on a 13A supply. what size motor are you trying to run?

Volt drop is a big issue with converters. I am surprised it will run on 13A.
Ours are fed via a 40a mcb on 16 & 10mm cable.

Test motor is 0.9 hp

Theoretically 1hp should work on a good supply 2.5mm min. with 13a. If it is the smaller Static converter.

99% certain its 240v @daleyd the transformer that looks burnt is labelled 230v to 24

Yes it appears so, and I would have expected that being on a converter, so at least that gives some more options when searching.
