I don't think anything beats the practicality of a disco for the price of buying,running and insuring
Don't forget the constant need to keep on top of rust and weekly maintenance / repairs - especially if you use parts that come in a blue box . My 200TDi needed new rear floor at 6 years old as so rotten. My current 300TDi isn't any better. TD5 bodies last but chassis rot.
Wished I'd still got my '72 2 door RRC
