do these come with proper rear seats? i.e. not sideways or folding seats?
i dont mind working on a LR, plus it will be used off road often enough to justify it lolDiscovery 2 TD5 IMHO is the most practical.
Saying that renault to Landrover, you are glut for punishment
I'll give you 1k for it in a few months hahaMy 90td (the early defender shaped lr were called 90 or 110, the defender name came with the tdi lump I think) is 3 seats up front, and I've had mrs and child in there. I also paid 800 quid for it, about 9 years ago and have spent about 300 quid on it since + its not rotten, in fact it passed its mot first time this year a month or so back. For more than 3 of us, its side facing seats in the rear which isnt ideal but its the commercial version and I value the ability to carry stuff in the back more than I valued being a taxi.
Its done me ok but as now I have 2 kids its having to be upgraded so if you plan more... But for me what better family excuse than to buy a 101 forward control to replace it can there be?
Also, I'm anticipating it fetching more for it than I paid for it, that'll be the first time ever I've made a profit on a vehicle, theyre not going to go down in value over time thats for sure.
No good to you as its now french registered I'm afraid, and in a few months you might not be in europe to re-import it easily!
Defender/90 prices have risen recently due to production finishing and Classic RR have been going up rapidly over the past year or so, cheapest option would be a Disco at the moment.
I wouldn't touch a P38, seem to have a lot of problems once they get older, one of the LR mags bought one to dispel the myth and even they gave up after a few months and a lot of money spent!.
I had a 3.9 Disco I for a while, only fault was 15mpg! they only had problems when the capacity went over 4.0L
