Mainly Facebook groups, if you drop me a message I'll have a mooch about for you. Also happy to go look to make sure you're not wasting time to look at a complete rust bucket
Don't overlook freelancers either, I've taken my missuses freelander 1 (diesel) off shooting and its carried pigeon shooting gear for 2 plus dog across fields and it's handled itself remarkably well
my missus got one as she wanted a Landy but she thinks a disco is too big and she loves her freelander, once again they don't seem to go for a lot, I picked hers up for £350 as it needed welding
How much do you like welding?
Or rather, how much do you like lying on your back, with a grinder?
If you love it than get an mot failure 300tdi disco for £500 or so, sort out the fail points, and it will break just as quick as if you had spent £1400 on one.
We have a defender, a disco, a breaker disco (£300) and a 101 forward control.
The defender does not have all the body rust issues of the disco, and its a more desirable item, so theyre a load more money, but the disco is more comfortable etc.
The issue, again, with discos is the rust. A 300tdi disco will be the same, in terms of reliability, as a 300tdi defender otherwise.
i wouldnt mind the mrs having something like a freelander as she works in a snowy area but she doesnt like big cars...she thought the megane was too big for her lol
