NeverAnd how often has it been sat on by a cow
It was stood on the lawn 18 months. New battery and then straight thru MOT, stood up to it's axles in mud for a fortnight,
does the back seat full of bricks and bags of cement count?been filled with rocks
a caravan out of a muddy field?and towed a broken 40ft trailer out of a river.
cos that's what my Defender was doing before it reached gentle retirement as my toy. I bet my Defender will still be around when catastrophic electrical failure, or one of the dashboard lights fails and can't be repaired means your Lexus ends up in the scrap yard, At 18 years old it's not worth much and one session in the dealers workshop will mean it's uneconomic to repair.
AFAIK, lexus aren't prone to "catastrosphic electrical failure" no more so than any other car, and less than most.
dashboard lights are an easy fix - 10 minutes and a 50p led - unless you mean the radio headunit, in which case a new display is c.£39
I'll concede your last point - but do you use the LR dealer to have your defender fixed? Would it be any different for you if you did?
