the 5 1/2 has a odd handle, the aft one, they do break.
The 2A is a short sole one.
Both are very nice.
that makes sense now, was wondering why the sticker was still there and the two handle woods didnt match
Its a Manx Moot point but you would have to have a Turnip head to call those swedes.

If I've told you once , I've told you twice , " Lay off the Scottish cooking whiskies they addle your brain & rot ones guts".Good sprout wine is a tad too dry for me and depending on the strain of sprout used some have a tendency to produce real stinky sulphurated hydrogen farts.

Those round orangy purple topped veg in the box are usually called Swedes in England but might be known to you in Scotland as Swedish turnips rather than the white purple top turnip , the yanks apparently call both types Rutabaga's for some strange reason . Though apparently due to being lazy, above the border strange speaking people call" turnips" neeps instead . 
Lovely little lathe I have it's British / American great great grandaddy ( circa 1943) called Sphere.
Put the lamp post tool holder safely away and get a feather style quick change tool post and 10 or more tool holders including a scissor knurler and a pair of boring bar holders of different sizes & indexable tools with spare cutters and you will have a dam good set up . If it has a cross slide power feed ..... be careful you don't crash it at the ends of the travel or you'll like as not break the driving dog which costs at least $100 USD ..guess how I know ?

Think that it may have been a large garden umbrella stand, but it may become a stand base for either the bead swager, or the bench shears......
On lockable castors, that's not so wrong.......

In the Isle of Man (where my family comes from) a Turnip is called a Moot and at Hop Tu Naa (Halloween to you) lanterns are carved from them.
Good sprout wine is a tad too dry for me and depending on the strain of sprout used some have a tendency to produce real stinky sulphurated hydrogen farts.

Similar traditions can be found in Ireland, Switzerland and a few other places.
Turnip have a purple skin, orange flesh and are round in shape.
Swedes have a white skin, white flesh and are more like a fat parsnip in shape.
Even parts of England can get the name correct, for example;
The septics have many peculiar habits and mis-spellings.
BTW I only drink whiskey, never whisky.

A fat cheque and a bottle of rum.
My old boss called last night, he is a decent chap, just ticking over until he can retire. He was in the need of my help, as a site I used to work on has gone down. The fire alarm was in fault, well one of the 8 panels was the issue. The Safety manager would not allow any flammable metal work to be carried out. Yes, that was the system in fault.
His "Expert" team have been on site for 3 days now.
Old Boss collects me, we drive to site, site staff are pleased to see me, fresh coffee and a all that.
I plug my lap top in, bimmble around the history, software and faults.
Take my old boss, go to a Call point, take it to bits, refit the plug, auto address it. Go back to Master Panel, all good.
I leave feeling SUPPPPPPPER SMUG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Doesnt matter what you want to call the root vegebubles they all get chopped up and chucked in a tray to roast, excellent lazy dinner as long as you have meat to go with it!

I used to live in a village in Cambridgeshire, that at that time, was totally surrounded for miles by field upon field of Brussel Sprouts stinking away.Sprouts are fine, what's your issue?!
Before that I was at a Boarding School that used to serve brussels and/or cabbage very frequently, often inappropriately.
( Usually burnt on the outside and raw in the middle or boiled to the point of turning into a pulp.
Or both conditions on the same plate. )
Every Wednesday we got a "Mixed Grill" a sausage, a rasher of bacon, a chop, a slice of black pudding, a fried egg, chips, brussels and cabbage.
(Detention if you didn't finish everything on your plate).
If you like brussels, I gift you my lifetimes share!
There are many ways of cooking root veggies, one of my favourites is Scouse.
Root veg, pearl barley, herbs, some meat, all boiled up.
Suet dumplings go nicely with it.
