I've been looking at these @daleyd have you had chance to try it?View attachment 511184
A new Huepar pro laser level - I’ve got a fairly ancient cheap black and decker one that eats 9v batteries, and is really hard to see in any kind of light (red beam).
Yes Paul, it’s very decent. I can’t compare it to any others but it’s much more visible and solid feeling than my old plastic B&D red one, and certainly good enough for my ham fisted attempts at kitchen fitting!I've been looking at these @daleyd have you had chance to try it?

The stand is good, being magnetic. It looks almost identical to the other one that was posted up from Temu/Aliexpress which was about half the price!! (Can’t remember what thread it was in) I went with huepar as they seemed to have decent reviews, having seen the other one I’m convinced they are the same model.
I’ll get some more pictures and do a better write up tomorrow or over weekend.![]()
It probably phones home to Beijing before letting you know.Aquired, and soon to be returned! An Aldi Reka Video doorbell.
It is rubbish, a pain to set up. When the button is pressed it takes many seconds to wake up, by which time the courier or person ringing, has gone. While it appears it may have a PIR motion sensor, theres no way to turn that on.
The video is advertised as HD but it is a black and white only, 640*480 and very poor quality, any movement is blurred.
Having spent the last hour setting it up, its now back in the box and the app deleted from my phone, ready to go back tomorrow.
Yeah of course no problem. That would be fantastic if you are willing, which model did you go for?
I bought this the other day, arrived this morning. I need to replace some bushes on the rear hub carriers on the daily driver and it might be easier than fiddling about trying to find the correct size socket all the time.View attachment 517460
Seconded but you will almost certainly find the sleeves are never the right size for the job in handGrease the threads before every use. Don't use any impact to tighten it and they should work well. I leant a similar but heavier duty set out with the same advice and it came back with damaged washers etc from an impact. I got it filed and cleaned up after but it annoyed me
The particular job I had in mind for this is to change the rose joints in the TT's rear hub carriers as I think they might be contributing to the clonks from the rear end. The smallest tube in the kit is just slightly too big to fit, so I'll have to use the socket that I've already got. Wasted £40, then, but at least I didn't buy it from eBay where I'd have wasted £52 for the same thing. But it annoys me - I've put off for ages buying this kit, and put off doing the job from the nice weather, and now I'll still have to use the old method. I should have checked it, it's my fault, which is what makes it so annoying - I can't even blame someone else.Seconded but you will almost certainly find the sleeves are never the right size for the job in hand

It's more likely his secret stash of rare vauxhall spares!Could the clunk in the TT be the hairdryers, curling tongs or straighteners sliding around in the boot?
