Yea my electrician had just the pencil....I think the scribe will be very useful for things like oak flooring. He said that the Amazon generic leads also work with it and they're a lot cheaper than the tracer leads

Today I aquired disapointment.

Drop Hide Loose are currently hiding. Delivery was supposed to be before 5pm, currently on delivery 40 and I am number 82.

DX's tracking has shown all day that the delivery would be today and then at 4:45pm, just before customer services shut, updated to show it had not yet reached the delivery depot.

Whole day wasted when I could have been out working.

I want to go looking for DHL vans, to apply odorous substances to the air vents!
(No, I wouldnt actually do anything)

Intended to post the above at about 6:30 but got distracted. DHL finally arrrived at 7:20 and made me late for my evening out. However, its good. My Makita UC029 pruning saw was in the box. Its a bit bigger, or less compact than I was expecting!

To be honest if they put the motor where the handle is, an extra small compact top handle design would have been better.

While the Makita appears good, feels bigger than I wanted, so I ordered yet another Amazon cheapy. This one claims to be similar to the Makita DUC150 but possibly improved.

It does have a proper oiler system, very similar to the Makita.

Wanted to check if it was a proper brushless motor, couldnt quite see from the vents

I would say its quite well made. 1.5kg without battery and 2.1kg with a Makita battery.

Not welding but salvaged this from the metal skip at the marina today. Nothing wrong with it and had all the spare tools and chuck. Just wasn't getting used and had half inch of dust on it. Some people are so wasteful.

If thats anything like the one ive got it'll be reluctant to put square holes into anything hard like oak unless you use cutters of about 6mm or less. even through pine it'll struggle with bigger.

It may also need to be squared up although it doesnt look like it has a sliding bed like mine does. Mine needed some feeler gauges put behind the fence to get it to traverse and remain square to the workpiece.

A few bits of stainless. The big lump of 5" round is definitely 316L. Others are marked (in pen) 316 and some other random bits came from the same source, so take a guess. I've tried some in the lathe and it turns very nicely indeed.

A nice set of Marples chisels, some made in Sheffield, some newer Irwin ones. Much nicer to sharpen and use than my current cheapy set.

I did sit and watched a few YouTube videos tonight as you do about these smaller mortisers.
Most seem to say your best of using the 1/4 inch tools in the harder woods and also because of the motors speeds they struggle with the larger tools full stop. Interesting to watched how you can sharpen the drill bits and tool.

It's been getting rave reviews and I don't need the width of the M18 planer so it was no brainer which to go for. I think I've bought more 12V this year than 18V and not disappointed yet. It will be getting used later this week when I get some time. It feels so compact to the corded planers I have been borrowing.

Cheers, I’ve only ever ridden 250s, the 300 is much gruntier low down, nearly flipped I yesterday giving it the same as I usually do my mates gas gas 250!
