Just submitted a support ticket on their site.

That's a shame, that must of been a fair whack. I thought the packaging was good on mine.

Their packaging does seem sound. Box has some crumpling around the bottom, but no discernible blows to the sides. That fold in the side panel is where the bed bracket/slider is.

I'm impressed with the build quality. Elegoo have been in touch & given me a couple of options, so I've continued unpacking it to check for further damage, & there's nowt further that appears damaged, from eye.



When you consider that side panel must've received a reasonable whack:



I'm impressed. Even the mounting/bracket which the panel bent around seems sound, to the eye.

Everything's looking good, so far. It's completed its initial setup without incident, & I've set it off printing one of the supplied files; The filament waste bin. First layer going down:



Side panel is still off, as yet. Didn't bother trying to straighten that somewhat until I know everything else is fine.

About ¾ of the way through now, & still looking fine, so I think it's safe to assume that panel was the only damage.

I'm a happy bunny. Really did not want to be farting around with return & replacement. A slightly damaged side panel I can merrily cope with.

That print's finished. Looks fine to my eye.



The vibration dampening strips I made for underneath that printer appear to be working well too. The surface it's sat atop is like a big drum, so a couple of strips of this:



attached to the underside, (with double sided tape), of a couple of pieces of planed deal:



have given me these to go underneath the feet & dull the resonance.



Those interlocking foam mats are useful things. It's quite a dense foam, so comes in handy for a multitude of uses.

Did consider doing that, but doing it my way also spreads the load across several laths. Don't know if it makes any difference, but, just my way.

One thing I have noticed with the Elegoo is that streaming from the camera is much better than the Anycubic.

Flattened that panel out as much as I'm going to, & got rid of the bow in the panel. The bulge is now less than it was. Stretched metal isn't going to flatten properly, so I'm not even going to try further.
