Same here Matt, no issues with any of it. Great place for draw filling stock at a fraction of the price, only downside is some of it takes a few weeks to arrive.

Had a fair few oddnsodds off there now, only one item was a no show and that was down to being out of stock, got the refund without asking. Also rate the tracking, you can keep an eye on shipping/postage progress very easily.

Where am I going to secrete this, without it being too obvious that it's arrived?
Haven't got the gantry painted and rebuilt, either. Have been away, collecting a fence for repurposing (another post).

Checked with my Engineering friend (Civil Engineer) and he said the following about the beam.
From the information you have provided and assume the steel is grade S275 then no it will only take 2.28tons. If the steel is grade S355 the load is 2.58 tons, both allowing for a load factor of 1.6. If you assume the peak capacity without any factor of safety, the beam will take 3.2 tons.
If this was actually designed as a crane then this could be to a higher grade of steel, which I would need the grade to ascertain its capacity.
But he also suggested, because we can't confirm the grade of steel.
The steel grade should have been with any documents/ service logs with the crane. These are a requirement of the lifting Regulations
So despite the electric winch having a 3 ton capacity, you should restrict to 2 tons – which equates to a Range Rover.
Do you really need something this big?
Probably not, but you never know.
Yeah, I know, I've got the manual chain lift, but I really want to be doing as little as possible, I'm in the 'Old Git Club' and taking it easier because my body is telling me to, or as easy as possible, hence the electricary lift.

Those things are thousands and you got the long chain too. I just had to weld up the end casing on one after I borrowed it from work and dropped it a little bit. Lots of gubbins inside that case.

Double acquisition:
I decided to install a scissor-type car lift in our new garage instead of a two-post lift, so I ordered a full-rise 3500 kg capacity scissor lift, which just arrived, and I used my newly acquired forklift adapter for my front-end loader to remove the scissor lift crates from the delivery truck. Here you see the largest and heaviest of the crates (1700 lbs) sitting on the forklift adapter.
I'll unpack the lift tomorrow and post a few photos.

So on the salvage/repurposing side and nothing metal (except a million nails and screws).
Been lucky enough to be able to take down and recover 6" x 6" Douglas Fir posts, 3.1m 13off and 2.4m 8off.
Still have 4 or 5 to collect, I think 2 are full size 3.1m and a couple that'll need cleaning up as they broke coming out of the ground.
The shorter ones are cut to clean the sharp breaks, they snapped when pushed over and end up around 2.4m.
Fence slats, cleaned and stacked 2.4m 342off. There's a new pile waiting for nail removal.
Including 3 x 2 lengths.
Everything will be jet washed, gently. Then treated with a solution of Sodium Percarbonate with Cocamidopropyl Betaine 30% (Amphoteric Surfactant) added to encourage adhesion. Once on the product removes and kills algae and discourages regrowth. Once it's finished doing its job, after around 30 minutes, all that's left is oxygen and water, so safe for the garden and animals. Simply rinse and leave to dry.
I did a couple of test slats and they looked like fresh bought wood when they were dry.
The 6 x 6" posts are going to be the frame for my new garage, hopefully traditional mortise and tenon. Final designs not finished but planning approval for a 6 x 4m structure received. Mrs. Jaeger doesn't want it that big, but it's my garage, not hers!
The 6 x 6" are quite heavy, hence my wanting the gantry and pully lift (there a bit of metal to finish on).

We use this on our wood deck once a year...comes up like new. We usually spray it on the algae and simply brush it in...leave 30 minutes and rinse it off.
It dislodges the green so there's less need to be heavy handed and risk damaging the wood I find.
I reused 300m of fence d rail. I pre treated it with a mix of hypochlorite and tfr and left it a few hours to work. Then I pressure washed it down. It was well covered in black and green algae but it came up like new.
You're looking to hide your new chain hoist! You've got no chance with a big garage.
I've not used this before. It looks as if those "Oxy" stain removers are generally sodium percarbonate with surfactants etc. Is that what you are using? I have some of the Vanish Oxy powder, so might have to give it a try.....
