Handy things, laser levels. I last used mine to do the Oak mantelpiece for the fireplace. Allowed me to get everything prepped & ready beforehand so it could just be placed in position. Didn't want to be lifting that more than once.

The problem with those is that they are adjustable.
You'd need a perfectly leveled surface to set it back to 0 if someone messed with it.
I have one myself but in 0.01mm/m resolution.
Hopefully they didn't mess with mine.
Mine too was from ebay used and cheap

Ive used similar ones in my Erbaur impact screwdriver for years. They are really really useful, and it's surprising just what the impact driver will cope with.
Especially handy for whizzing even quite large bolts in/out after they've been loosened with a bar..... mine get used a lot - esp. with 1/4" drive sockets
You only need a surface level within the range of the level, it will read the same when rotated 180 degrees when it is correctly set.

Great tools. A bit like a multitool, you never realised how much you needed one before and makes jobs so much easier having one.
I do recommend getting a pole mount as tripods are restrictve and constantly need to be moved when they get in the way.

went to a farm auction yesterday,

Axminster CQ6230b,. It's home and safe I put some timbers under the bed tray and the some down the length the screwed it all together like a pallet with grab points, 6 of us managed to lift it into and out of the big van. It's had a clean and looks pretty good already.
