And the threadlock was the most expensive by a long way I bet.

That depends on if its loctite, genuine loctite, genuine henkel loctite, genuine chinese grey inport henkel loctite, or fake genuine chinese loctyte.
Good luck trying to figure it out when even henkel can't tell you.

How do you gauge how deep the staple should go, are there pins on the staples?

Various staple designs. The pins get snipped off flush with the surface. Example selection:

I've got a wind deflector that's broken. Think this has got to be worth a try.

On first glance this looks like a simple job as I have lots of spare motors and vfds. However the front wheel requires some work to remove the existing "hubs" and weld new ones into place, undoing the previous owner's bodge job that now runs slightly wonky.

It's probably another project that I didn't really need. Before I get started will the belt run fine on plain steel wheels or do they need to be rubber faced?

A slide hammer for a tenner - I think its a Sealey or Draper one, although they all look very similar.
Obviously slightly modified. Not sure if it was that good a deal in all honesty, but I'm sure it will do the job.

As part of my 'settlement' with BR over their tresspass I gained quite a few square metres of ground. On one of the embankments I found this. I assume it is for lifting concrete rails up? Will make a nice 'whatchamacallit'

Its a large G clamp - I think they use them with fishplates for repairs.

I suspect this might be my bargain of 2025.
I won't say exactly what I paid for it, but I felt I should have been looking over my shoulder all the way home for some blue lights.

Its a bit tarnished in places where it has been stood, but I think it has been hardly ever used.
