I've been contemplating on weather I need one of these tools, but like you, I now have a job I could use one for. Thanks for the tip mentioning Screwfix, I'll check it out.

Get a couple of sets of decent blades for it from Screwfix whilst your at it if you can . MY 240 volt multi saw tool was used to slit out grout below the plaster line then drill and break up one tile so I could use the swan neck blade to slip behind other tile and remove them with the least breakage . half a square metre on I was so pleased I'd got two full spare blade sets as the grout & tiles cement ate the gold abrasive cutters and the swan necks .


If you need reading glasses put them on so you ensure the blades fit over the driving pins before you fully tighten the retaining clamp up ( guess how I found that one out ? ) They are brill for blind cutting into coving to let you slip boards or pipe etc up into the hole you've just accurately cut.

I have the corded parkside one, it's been reliable and good power but it is incredibly noisy, as in deafeningly so, I imagine the cordless one will be quieter.

I use a Jackson air fed grinding mask for dirty grinding, wire brushing type jobs and even spot blasting.

I use stick on protectors and they do a great job of extending the life of the screen.

I can't get proper covers so make my own.

A blower mask is really nice to use when it's hot and sticky and I do prefer a simple clear visor instead of an auto welding mask in grinding mode.

I needed to insert a vertical drain off collar & 19 mm dia drain off pipe ( Tool Station ) to stop condensate running back with cold air in uninsulated outlet pipes in the cold roof void It is handy to have a second one in hand as mine only last three to four years, Ensure the condensate drain or drains is the right way up and does not allow condensate to run back though the fan , The trap has a decent rubber sealing gland & thre drain off tube cab be solvent welded to extnder sleeves or an elbow if needed .

Ordered from Farmertec 6th March. All looks good! One of the 3/8lp chains I will shorten to 40DL to fit the 10" 2511 bar as they didnt list them in 10".

Total shipped was £122. The customs label shows 4 items of $1.25 value each

motors spin lovely
Only one belt on one side
Pressure switch looks shot so I’m hoping it’s the only thing wrong, if the pumps are shot then I’ll consider selling it on.
It’s a single phase setup currently and bites pumps low on oil.
