I'm also going to need an m14x1 tap :doh:

I've just ordered this, m14 x 1mm pitch, MT2 revolving centre.

I got a mini 4 jaw chuck a few weeks back, that should also fit it.

Had the idea of putting it in toolpost with mt2 adaptor, at 1 degree, to try rotary broaching.

Topped up with some workshop gadgetry, a pair of oil siphons and a oil system filler set, includes the tiny jap ones.

Shouldn't it run true to the center but the broach slightly tilted off center?

Mostly , a thin covering of fine sawdust on account of some two -stroke cylinder patternmaking operations.
Hopefully, a nicely chunky and fairly well evolved item will result ...

Set in the toolpost, that works, given a slight angular offset.

The next question is where to get rotary broach cutters. For square or hex I could likely grind S2 screwdriver bits to have some clearance.
I imagine torx broach bits can not be easily made, tho hex should be adequate for what I wanted.

So today after going to have a look at this thing

Only to discover it was already sold weeks ago.... But only once I was there .
I've asked for the little blue box in the picture Wich is a spot welder.
A metal bender and a shear.
Seller wrote on a piece of paper and said I'll let you know the price...
I was like "are you serious?"
Anyways those the good ones of the lot everything else was garbage.
I kinda feeling I'll never get a price for them or it wouldn't be worth as he's probably going to check prices online and it would just be way cheaper buying new stuff.
But also thought about the age of the man and he kinda looks having dementia, he probably stopped working because his family and he really don't want to sell his tools because he'd like to keep something for himself.
Personally the spot welder has to be mine everything else he can keep them.

Anyways I've lost not one not two but 4 auctions, all of them were small lots of Gühring and Garant Morse taper drills ...
I've received a proposal for a small lot of them.
Accepted straight away.

11 Stella Bianca (White Star) HSS G bits
Smaller is 13mm bigger is 20mm
An MT2 to MT1 adapter.

Everything comes in a box.
Stella Bianca is comparable to Dormer quality, made in Italy
70 euro brand new shipped to my door
5 euro x bit looks pretty good to me.
I already have 3 or 4 bigger sizes.

Acquired some windows in the van today, the first step to its campervan conversion:

Chuffed to bits with how it looks, next step is first fix electrics then start on the insulation and carpet lining. And at some stage there'll be a custom made (by me) aluminium roof rack complete with a solar panel and plenty of extra marker lights :cool:

There are some on eBay, but all from the US and pricey

A few weeks ago I was gifted a workshop to sort.
I am still working my way through the items.

Most is being moved on to MIS and other charities. I have asked if I could keep items for myself.
