Where did I get ringworm from, absolutely no idea, I initially thought it was insect bites in the garden, we've two dogs +1 the ex neighbours, who's hospitalized.

I'd assumed ringworm was a parasite, but it's a fungal skin thing, treated with Canestan types creams, at least I know what it is and I can treat it.

When my wife was a confidential PA many many years ago she had to type up the strange case of a young male being found at 22 .15hrs screaming like crazy in the middle of field containing a cow & her calf , his hands & waist area covered in cow muck he'd also got a broken rh hip & leg , his jeans off one leg and a bent up six foot folding step ladder on its side , there was a couple of massive RHR cow hoof print son his hip area & leg .
Lucky to be alive alive apparently , as most cows with calf's also stamp on their victims , the police & and paramedic air ambulance had to wait for the farmer to get control off the cow and calf . I wonder what they wrote in their incidence logs ?

So I went to see the egg man today who chops up sticks for a living and also sells a bit of veg, anyhow he likes tractors a lot and has about 16 of various ages and he lent me a fuel pump sediment bowl to get our little Leyland running while I was waiting for the replacement, the guy also collects other stuff like 2 great big helicopters and a load of spares none of which are airworthy but in the don't want pile was this manifold which caught my eye, £5 english pounds changed hands and it came home!!
Think it must be titanium as it seems very light and well made, think its going to be a bit of wall art in the workshop
I know we have a few aeroplane types here anyone got any ideas what its off?

It's far more common than that.

I only know about it, as I picked it up somewhere at the start of the year.
It's actually a fungal infection, but on healthy unbroken skin, it usually won't get into your skin.
It's also far more slow growing than what I thought it was.

I'm not sure where I initially picked it up (could have either been at the swimming pool, or digging in the forest), but I thought it was just a patch of eczema at the top of my leg.
It took a couple months for it to develop into a ring, and even then the pharmacist wasn't entirely sure it was ringworm.
The first two creams only partially worked, but by that time it had spread to my upper arm. I'd scraped all my upper arm with pine needles, and it turns out when I sleep, I move my arm between the top of my leg, and laying it on top of my other arm.

Ended up at the GP, as the pharmacist couldn't prescribe anything stronger.
The patch on my leg cleared up within days using the stronger cream, but my arm took a couple weeks, and it's still visible under certain conditions two months later :/

Yes, deffo. Not the first one i've done. Rather pleasant doing them up. Decent earner too.

If you can make money at it you're doing well I think. I found materials were so expensive it was hard.

I'd do another one but has to wait till I get a break from work.

This one was £190K. Done up worth £260/£270K. £35K costs.

So on Friday morning I've got the 32pcs dormer drills set in the mail.
Opened it up and discovered most of them need to be reground cause chipped or sharpened at very weird angles .
There's still a lot of life in them so not a big deal .
The thing that ****** me off is that ok one of them is SKF which is not a problem but at least 7 of them are ILIX and one or two have no brand on them .
This made me get little bit upset.
Cause I wanted to go with a specific brand for a reason...
At the moment they are stored in a box.
I'm going to sharpen them all at 134° and 10° relief once I either get or build a drill grinder.

Anyway back to yesterday morning (Saturday) I've found via Facebook marketplace a guy selling welding equipment .
So I've got
A 3 metres long trafimet ergo plus bz 15 euro torch (brand new).
A 4 meters trafimet size 9 Tig torch (used) with remote current adjust on the torch .
A sacit 400A electrode holder
An half sacit perfecta 2 ,250A electrode holder, it misses the handle
A sacit Nevada 400A ground clamp
Another sacit 400A ground clamp but not so much heavy duty.
A cast brass 400A ground clamp
A sacit dinse 50 plug
A sacit dinse 50 socket
All this stuff is brand new.
80 euros in total
Included in the price I've got a sacit trafimet Branded trolley bag which I'll going to use for keeping welding PPE in it .
Like my esab sentinel and warrior air papr system, batteries, face shield, cutting glasses, gloves, spare filters , and a respirator half mask .

Not much, a few things I liked, but did not like the price.

But i took a punt on this £5 box.

Should clean up well.

Will it get a complete new roof c/w timbers or just a few new slates ? Daughters rental had dozens of day light holes in the roof . rain sodden ceilings and wet plaster down the whole chimney breast , Landlords response ...stick them with a no fault eviction after five months from when they complained and re rent it three weeks later at £140 pcm more .

Next time round I'll get the electrics in first and then have the whole house inside skimmed...expensive but saves a lot of time faffing about patching things up.

I'm holding off another till I see which decade we're heading back to...1970s, 1980s or 1990s .

Mine broke even...it doesn't take much to lose your shirt...materials rise, a few unexpected issues, falling prices...take your pick!
