A free fake Mitutoyo digimatic
It was advertised as used
It was half the price of the brand new real thing, pictures in the insertion displayed the real thing with little bit of wear signs.
So plausible it could be original but used ...
That's what I've got
So the cardboard box instantly showed off that it was counterfeit
The plastic box ,on the other hand doesn't look all that bad.
Better quality than the parkside ones.
It looks original to me , obviously it's not.
The caliper itself is a caliper and works just like other cheap digital calipers but looks and feels more refined compared to others in the price range (25 euros )
The green line should be either yellow for the black ones, or blue for the silver ones .
In the insertion there was a picture where was shown "ABSOLUTE DIGIMATIC AOS" they forgot a bit
Original should have 3 buttons, they thought that 4 was better than 3.
Depth stick in the rear is really flimsy, thin and flexible, practically useless.
The little clothe rag is not even a rag but just paper.
Just arrived home, opened up , once seen the box I was already asking for a refund , then proceeded to check the contents seen even more things I don't like .
Waited a quarter hour to get an eBay response , they accepted refund , didn't ask to send it back.
So I've finished to unbox the caliper.
Removed the battery after zeroed and locked , put It back an the absolute value is now 0 .
I've got this thing for free , can't complain too much.
For my birthday I'll buy the original thing from the Mitutoyo website.
Didn't know it was possible to buy directly from them and the real one is only 99 euros cause they have a discount right now
