Just don't take it at the same time as Ex-Lax!
As you won't know if you're coming or going...

I fully realise that but it helps to know if it's a widespread issue after a needle has been used in an arm.Go and see your doc , none of us are qualified to give you the medical advice you need .
As it happens over the last day or so It seems to be developing locally and I can feel tenderness in the area developing. The covid vaccine is delivered square in the middle of the deltoid, not the biceps, and if there were a needle fragment or local scarring/neuroma formation you should be able to elicit the pain by prodding the area.
Deliberately.....Friend of mine has waited 14 months to get to see the pain management department, for his back pains. Couple of weeks ago he got two NHS letters delivered, together.
One was booking him an appointment.
The other was cancelling that appointment.
The NHS is broken.
Sounds like similar pain.I have, on occasion I think had something similar in my Covid jab arm. Comes from nowhere, is fleeting but hurts like hell. Tbh too much has gone on since to recall. The heart palpitations I had after were much more concerning.
The worse one I get is something on/in my head. Like a thousand tiny needles in a patch that varies as to where. It comes on like an axe in the head (I'm guessing) then goes instantly. Really makes me wince. My scalp feels tender to the touch thereafter but not agony. I did think something shingles like.
Ironically that's so similar to my experience except for lying on it in bed.I had my flu jab a couple of months ago and now I get a lot of pain in my left shoulder/biceps ...if I lie on it in bed it wakes me up in agony. I thought the needle may have snapped cos I have never suffered before and I've had a lot of jabs over the years!!
I'm due to see the nurse in a couple of weeks so will ask her opinion ...the actual jab was very painful so not sure if she was a beginner!!
No such thing as a stupid question. Some answers on the other hand may be judged differently!Ironically that's so similar to my experience except for lying on it in bed.
It's quite funny really as it proves me asking the question was not so stupid after all.
I have to admit being momentarily ofended by the replies taking the urine about asking medical advice on a mig welding forum. Lol until I really the nature of text and context etc.
Plus I am one of the first to drift of topic and engage in bants. Lol

Some years ago I had a large boil on my fundament which was so agonizing as to require a visit to see Dr Anil who refered me to a Proctologist named Mr Brown. Even i who at the time was mincing along like an old queen in severe pain had to laugh at the irony.
Incidentally Mr Browns hobby was traction engines.
After that operation i will never be embarrased at any medical procedure ever again.
I have that now. It was worse earlier but the wine is flowing and the pain is dulling.I get terrible pain in my ears as soon as I get home
Bob
I get one in the neck, usually co-incidental with arriving home.I have that now. It was worse earlier but the wine is flowing and the pain is dulling.
I was guessing that. It's really hard to break a hypodermic needle, I'd be very, very surprised if that's the issue.
You can bend them. Never seen one break.
Have you mentioned this to your GP ?I was guessing that.
You don't hear of them breaking. I have wondered about scar tissue .
Certainly getting pain more often.
I have noticed its often in the car changing gear as it did it again tonight.
Certainly does not feel like it's linked to cardiology. But I will go and see what if anything they suggest.
I'm no doctor, and don't think anyone else on here is a doctor of medicine.
We have medical doctors on here ?I think you're wrong in that.![]()
I had this, worsening day by day, making it hard to sleep on my side. Then I was reaching up one night, and that triggered an excruciatingly painfull bout of shoulder / arm pain. I thought it was a dvt (had one in my leg before that and the symptoms were similar). Anyway, eventually an xray showed it was a damaged tendon getting trapped within a calcificated joint - aka frozen shoulder. One of the most painful things ever - I didn't sleep in my bed for over a month. Eventually it got better, but I took some serious pain relief for a while. Not really. I just wondered if it was widespread. First reply indicated I was not paranoid.
I did actually phone the Doctors at 8.30 but no appointments left for the day.
I am also on OZEMPIC and lost 2 1/2 stone.
I speak to the Nurse every who doses my wife's warfarin ( well I dose it and see if she agrees) I have been doing it for 21 years now so instinct is a remarkable thing.
But to clarify I wondered if it was widespread and an age thing and as my wife was 38 and being treated for toothache, which turned out to actually be artery pain which was a blocking left carotid artery that eventually turned into the stroke. I am more than aware the potential of left side pains.
This is not a pain I have heard described before though.
I theory I have is the jab damaged/affected a bone as I am more convinced it is actually slightly tender above where the pain generates from.
So I am not doing diagnosis by welding forum in isolation.
As a further example I have a totally different type of pain that results from lifting my right hand when in a specific orientation (usually stretching and twisting) that was diagnosed as injured rotator cuff.
So thanks for all the advice I do intend to get an appointment next week.![]()
