If you run out of space in the workshop , I find having a drill press in the living room makes an interesting Objet d'art.

You obviously don't have a SWMBO?

Keep the pedestal and ditch the bench one....otherwise you will still loose bench space. The pedestal has a windey handle? I've got a old noisy Carke pedestal with probably plenty of runout but still get roundish holes. Plus a mag drill for roaming drill (which I've used precisely once)
For anything more accurate I'd use the mill...but it's b'll ache to setup from horiz to vert.
Doesn’t really matter which one you keep
looks like a spotless workshop, call me a cynic but I’m guessing you telling us more about what you may do or buy than you actually use them
?
Too late now but I was going to suggest that you keep the Sealey & sell me the SIP!!
I had spotted that SIP & was thinking about buying it but the distance put me off. Then I caught this darn corvid & that halted any chance of buying it!
Seriously, as others have said, check the runout/play in the spindle before deciding which to keep, other than that the SIP would be the better of the 2. The only downside of using the VFD for speed control is that you lose torque at low speeds. If they had kept the stepped pulleys you would still have the ability to use them for coarse speed setting but by fitting a single pulley you are limiting the usable speed range of the drill.
Did you get the Sealey from the guy on FB marketplace who advertises graded Sealey drills? What's he like to deal with?
Sounds good ...but didn't realise it doesn't have stepped pulleys? Could they be re-fitted? Is there a pic of the entire machine or have I missed it? Seen the one looking down, but not with pulley cover up.Yes it's got the wind up handle for the table. The table is quite large actually. Probably 2 foot square something like that.
It came with a large drill vice too. When I looked at it again I realise it's home made. But still decent I will keep it with this drill. It's heavy made out of 10mm steel.

Pillar/pedestal drills are not really accurate machines as indeed is twist drilling itself. A reasonably drilled hole is all that's required, with it's centre where it should be . Expanding reamers are to finish to precision fit. A floor standing drill gives more leeway and adjustability. A couple of times I've needed the entire height of the machine, Mines anchor bolted to floor. For a really big job the drill needs to go to the workpiece, only a mag or handrill for that or plasma
I'm curious now, what's a proper drill please?Get rid of them both and buy a proper drill!
Not made by SIP or Sealey.I'm curious now, what's a proper drill please?
(I hope its a £7,500 german made one in true mig forum style for the guy who bought a 200 quid used SIP to use 3x times a year )
Interesting that it mentions 50hz. That is what the inverter is set up as max.
