I had bought this new Sealey Premier bench drill a couple of weeks ago as grade B (original box missing)
This is a great drill.
But then I spotted a bargain and also mixed up what this was.
Took the larger SIP floor standing drill home today and it has the following features over the Sealey:
Variable speed drive inverter drive this has a single large serpentine belt and the VFD adjusts the speed without moving belts around (I thought it was a 3 phase drill but it's got a 240 motor it seems) It also came with a keyless chuck already and the original one. The table has no apprentice drill marks its pristine and very large. It also owes me about half the £ of the Sealey.
The larger floor standing drill was cheap as the guy wanted rid it was too large for his single garage and its kind of too large for mine too but I do plan an extension so it will be OK long term. It needs some fettling which I can do and a lick of paint etc.
So what to do? Sell on the Sealey and will probably still get what I paid for it so not out of pocket and keep the floor drill? Which undoubtedly is a larger more capable machine and speed adjustment is automatic no belt changing. Mind you both drills are much more than I need but that's a minor detail!
