Lots of goodies today.
Spurred on by the gift of a part-full bottle of propane from @daxliniere ,I bit the bullet and got some oxygen.
These were a good price. But where can I squeeze them in?
Some more bits for the mill project. 20mm linear bearings. It's a pity that I didn't read the posting more closely. Needed 2, bought 4
I can't wait to get this installed.
The bevel gears may be used for the rise and fall. That remains to be seen, though.

Went to lidl for some ground coffee to try my new induction moka pot....
Came out with a 20v cordless strimmer, 12v mini angle grinder and 20v 400nm impact gun/4ah battery set. (£35, £20, £70, however a 4ah battery is £28 each anyway, so works out £42 if the impact was bare..)
I now have 3x 4Ah batteries, and two 2Ah. I should probably sell one to save me needing to make a shelf clip for it..
Strimmer is obviously light duty compared to the petrol ones but fits our small garden nicely.

Those strimmers are quite good for the price. The petrol one only gets used a couple of times a year for heavy stuff, the cordless one is able to keep things under control if you use it every 2 weeks.
Top tip - it lets out new line every time you start it up so try & keep the strimmer running all the time otherwise you'll waste a lot of line (the excess line gets cut off by the guard.

Those drawers are great. I'm keeping an eye out for another for endmills.. or maybe I make a rack with a bunch of holes in it.. still undecided.
As for the bevel gear, I would absolutely 100% send it back or get a refund and buy another. MFG defect returns like that are pretty easy to prove and most sellers resolve instantly.

If nothing else it will provide you with endless comedy opportunities to be Mark Cavendish (1,000W to 1,500W for 30 secs) or I think Dumoulin once averaged 500W up a 6 minute climb. It does put into context what superhuman athletes pro-cyclists are. Pound-for-pound they are the fittest humans on the planet who are able to deal with self-inflicted pain and suffering us mere mortals can't even imagine.
I know I'm teaching grandmother to suck eggs but if you're using it for training, you need to see the power output in real-time i.e. a watch won't cut it anyway. I've got an Edge 830 and a Quarq spider ...brilliant bits of kit.

I ordered an Edge 530 last night.
I wanted to upgrade my watch anyway, I want one that will record rowing (Currently I record it as a ride and change it in Strava), so I was using the power meter to help justify it, I could make do seeing the data on my wrist, but ultimately went for the Edge for the map/navigation, I hate trying to follow Google Maps in my ear.
