apparently they wont bolt up wrong way round...stay tuned , will pull the box mon/tuesFriction plates the right way round isn’t it?
soon find out..it was marked for flywheel side as wellNo, but they can be bent by someone trying to bolt the bell housing up while it is fitted the wrong way!
We all make mistakes, can happen to anyone, but as you say, I think you will have noticed that, but ..........soon find out..it was marked for flywheel side as well
tbh id rather see a glaring mistake , if it all looks nice i will worry its still going to be wrong
nope...i paid attention to pull the bolts up a bit at a time on opposite sides , no reason it shouldnt have gone down but who knowsSteve,
Did rotate you the flywheel to check the pressure plate had gone down to the flywheel all the way around before you put the box back on? Sometimes they stick on the locating pins.
i have done , no hint of it getting any better and its beyond what id consider bedding inBefore pulling the box out again, I'd personally try bedding the clutch in a bit to see if it improves. Pull away a few times in 2nd gear, and get a bit heat into the clutch. It might just be the new clutch on the worn flywheel, and all it's needing is a bit bedding in.
No where on the vehicle in this thread.Does anybody know where this needle bearing is fitted?

possible i guess...good call , i didnt purposedly leave it hanging but you know what a fight they areOnly way you could possibly go wrong is by letting the gearbox hang off the friction plate when refitting gearbox, the weight can buckle the friction plate.
Other than that oil contamination but can't see that being an issue?.
