Fancy!
Mine is just a bit of ply.
I confess that mine is a scruffy oily bit of OSB that's been kicking around not only this workshop, but also my last one that I left 14 years ago !

(The Plan was to use DIN 921 Screws, but they aren't awaylable in the needed length, so Hex it is)
I am not really happy with it tooI like the frame but I think the bolts through the top spoil it a bit![]()
Coach bolts should do the job ?
Yeah had a few of them and can’t bring myself to buy the cheaper ones again the output for the size and quality Is just so much betterLazer very posh
Tried that one. 14mm is really one of the flew woodworking tools I have.Do away with the washers and recess the bolts using a fostner bit?
Shallow dome-headed coach bolts.I am not really happy with it too
But I didn't really find a good alternative.
I have no tooling for Countersunk screws in Wood. And they need to be done far more precisely then my Woodworking skills allow
Screws with ultra thin Heads like BN9524 are not available in the moment or at all in dimensions like M8x25.
Maybe I will give threaded Inserts (DIN 7965) a try but I do not have confidence that the wood will not crack.
Lens flange screw ( I am not shure if thats the correct english Term) DIN EN ISO 7380-2 would have a Headsize similar to
but are less annoying to use. (If the security aspect isn't necessary).
Anyone with a brilliant Idea?
Search for furniture bolts, they're a shallow wide head with a hex socket to drive them, used on wooden furniture, a slightly counter bored hole is all that's required (use a forstner bit the size of the head to do the pocket first then drill through the middle for a clearance hole for the thread/shank)I am not really happy with it too

Nice gear thatThese - last night actually. Even the steel one will be binned, but in the meantime it will serve purpose.
