Made I larff. I have some of the "D Cell" ones somewhere.

Just for clarification, some of the forces used to substitute the rubber projectile with a D Cell battery, most notoriously during the "Troubles", caused a few deaths too. I find it hilarious how, despite loads of research and the most brilliant minds applied to a problem, couple of squaddies work around the restriction. There are loads of examples of this through history.

Old pennies fitted well too About the only defence available at the time to catapulted J hooks & thrown petrol bombs.

I've just finished repairing an old treadle machine we've had for years, a 1921 vintage Jones Medium CS as supplied to Queen Alexandra (it says on it) and I've been trying it out on some material. It sews quite well but my coordination need a bit of work treadling and steering material at the same time. We now have 3 treadle machines, the Jones, a Bradbury and a Singer.

Does that make you an old sew & sew ?

Fasten the catapult to the end of a 6ft plank of wood for extra "oomph". Especially if you have short arms.

It's a hard standing area opposite the barn, it was covered in about 40 tonne of road planings but nature was taking over and I could do with something a bit more durable plus it needed levels sorting out so it could be used for parking as the missus runs various permaculture events through the year.

We already have parking for about 7 or 8 cars, but you always get the idiot that parks in the only place that screws up the parking for 4 other people. I have to be diplomatic when I call the person out to move their car, they may have spent money on a course. So my usual enquiry is, "whoever abandoned a car in the middle of the yard, could they move it please?"

Probably, I didn't lay it, a farming friend with a groundwork business did it for me and he hasn't billed me yet. They did a cracking job given they finished in the dark with various machines spot lamps on it. I was too busy coughing my guts up and going for a PCR test that was negative.

I did some preparation the day before, I had to take the top row of blocks off a retaining wall that divided the cobbles from the area to be concreted otherwise it would be cobbles, knackered block then concrete. Now the concrete butts up to the cobbles, much neater. With this cold it was hard work, every time I got up after bendingdown with the stihl saw or chisel I went dizzy and had to take a break.

As it happened, the team were pretty good and would probably have done it for me, but I needed to be sure, it's too late when the mixer arrives.

I was well happy that they dealt with coaxing the mixer driver up the hill and around the steep hairpin. If you get the wrong driver you have to start calling mates with dumpers to help out. This driver new his stuff and got right on site.

I’ve just had 9m3 of C25 on volumetric mixer and 30 m pump line and it cost £1550 inc v

genuine esab FC-5C came with a parts list and wiring diagram ,for less than an SSC although they might have made it.

so just really hope it's the same as the murex FC-5B theres no wiring diag in the murex manual.
and a sparky mate gave me his old fiuke MM.
