trailer hung on wall 'pikey proofing"

the two big dinosaur Hobarts are still in shed one reserved for thick alu jobs
i now have the oerlikon mig set up permanently for thicker alloy work
and the miller is set up for ms work
just plug it in and change gas
and yer off
the new arc tig boxes are great add ons
to any dc welder i can run it off the diesel as well , the miller works on cc on the

diesel for spray transfer for thicker stuff
but its better suited to cv output

A new Kranzle jet wash. It's a nice looking bit of kit, it oozes quality and is well heavy. I've sat it on a bit aluminium checker plate that I intend to make a wheeled trolley for it with, I bought a hose reel with it and that will sit next to it nicely with room to stash the power lead.

And a few accessories including a wheeled paving cleaner.

Unfortunately I was too knackered to play with it today. I'm coughing like a consumptive chain smoking coal miner and my joints are aching, shivers etc. Two lateral flow tests a few days apart are negative but going for a PCR in the morning.

big heavy box of ali offcuts from another member on here thanks and the this afternoon I got a big ikea half full of old tools


had quite scoot through and there's actually some nice bits and pieces two big breast drills
a rapid hand drill some old firmer chisels and more , most of it's not for me but I wasn't going to say no

Since my Delphi clone isn't that much use due to now being several years out of date, I figured I should probably buy something that actually works on newer vehicles.
Not used it yet, as I need to find something to try it on (doesn't list Transit Customs, or 2.0 ecoblue engines), but I've updated it, and I'll try and find a test vehicle tomorrow.

10 imperial mics and 6 metric ones , mainly starret and Moore and Wright Sheffield starret ones are Jedburgh

Quite a few duplicates in up to 50mm and 3" so let me know if you want a mic lol

A few missing screws unfortnaley however have screws that fit them just not enough so will be ordered up or made on lathe

Some real gems in there this brand spankin old sheffield Moore and Wright dont even think the box has been opened long since factory still orginal sticker not sure if date 0058 means 1958 seems a while ago

Starret Jedburgh ones really nice and lovely box attention to detail and quality a lot nicer than my import stuff. Not sure why some vandal has spray painted most of the mics silver ! , Easier identification who they belong to I suppose

Really like this aswell , Starrett jedbrugh 0 - 150 mm depth mic and says on it in stamped tape inspection department so not been abused by some RAF fitters , Real good nice no rusting or damage

Let us know how you get on with it. I've been looking at one of these for a while and not gone for it as there's some pretty mixed reviews out there.

Although I suspect that a lot of those reviews are from people who either don't know how to use it or expect it to magically fix their problem for them. ("I bought one of these to clear the light on my dash and all it did was tell me what the fault code was, it didn't fix it at all, absolute rubbish" Mr P Enis) Etc.

A bit of positive first hand experience will probably tip me over the edge though.

I prefer to drive older cars, this week I’m using one while I’m helping a mate put up a car port.

A very nice elderly lady looked at me working when she was walking to the shops. On the way back she asked if I’d like some old tools that had been cluttering up her garage for many years.
A Bradbury jack, sturdy axle stands and a canvas bag of mixed spanner’s will all be put to good use !

Karma likes me, for the past month I’ve been touring Wales area and doing a few odd jobs when I’ve been visiting friends.
Next question - what do I need to know about Bradbury jacks (I already know it’s a very nice piece of kit !)
I’ll be getting her a small thank-you next time I’m at the shops.

If the PCR test shows negative, you have this "super cold" which if you really look at the science, it is a derivative of Covid? Turns out all flu and cold like diseases are a form of Covid, Covid number 19 being the one we have been running away from lately.
I know this because I had plenty of time to research this after one of these "flu like symptoms" types knocked me on my ass for a good long while and it has taken me about six weeks to get my act together. Lateral flow tests were negative and so were the PCR tests, still completely floored me.

EDIT: Just to be clear, I do not not go to work, I work in my workshop if I am full of cold, I am always up and about (or trying to be) even when seriously hurt. This stopped me in my tracks. Even the missus bought me a bar of chocolate "to cheer me up" so I must have been bad.

If it works just use it. I've got a quick lift Jackette one they were scrapping from the bike shop. Seal kits are available but expensive. It leaks a bit when on the level and closed but I stand it on end problem solved and once raised it doesn't leak.

Another carbide bar, should be more suited than the SCLPL and I have some decent inserts for it. £55 for this one. There are cheaper but decided this will be best. Id have prefered the smaller 0702 insert size though.
