Used Lakeland Laser this time. Best price I could find, and the lead time was 1 week. Quality is spot on.

It will run in the workshop only when I'm in there. But thanks for the heads-up

They do put some heat out and you have to let it go through a cool down cycle before switching off. If you don't the controller fries...

Plus, you need to post the picture of the "owner brand" you WILL get from the exhaust.
They get VERY hot - and the burn pattern is very distinctive.
It's like a "club tattoo" on the FB owners forum.

Arrived yesterday. What can I say. I've been eyeing one for a while, & after getting that SDS, I couldn't use the "I've no 18V batteries" excuse anymore.

Terrible photo due to broken camera on the phone. But I've acquired a 24" digital Mitutoyo caliper and a set of Jones & Shipman rolls from @JMS1972

Caliper is in good nick, I think it probably wants a very light oil to run nicely up and down.

The rolls need a little TLC, the discs themselves just want a light go with wire wool and WD40.
The bars separating the legs I will probably use citric acid and wire wool.

Can't for the life of me remember what car it came off ... I want to say a Renault of some kind maybe???
All I know is I thought it looked ace on the bonnet of my Mini Clubman when I was 18

Our damsons have been hopeless this year and the sloes dont seem much better for some reason

Several of our May bushes have died this year, covered in sloes then died. Similarly across the road a May bush with a 5 inch thick trunk died this year. Odd

Is that battery big enough? The CDH take quite a few amps when starting up, low power is one of the common reasons for not starting.

Quite a decent discount from new from a Dodgy geezer flogging Amazon returns at a guess.

There was diesel in the tank and the wires had been connected. He knocked another fiver whilst I ummed and ahhed....

So wasn't too surprised to see this.

It will have some kind of power supply too,
Probably a battery charger. They need about 10A for the glow plug when starting and then around an Amp when running.

You can run some of them off your phone on Bluetooth. Remote start etc. I’m no expert but a lot of the info I read appears to suggest they are all the same but some have more features unlocked than others. I’ve never gotten into it but I assume the unlocking is reasonably easy.
