Thanks for that, very interesting. I owned an Elkins gaffer some years ago, which was moored on the Medina off Folly Reach.Marihøna (Norwegian for 'ladybird') is a William Atkins 'Vixen' design, built in Norway, 1957, and fitted out in Bermuda.
She has a Littlehampton connection though; it's the first harbour where she first touched English soil, after a very rough maiden transatlantic crossing in 1960.
There are a few others kicking around the planet, maybe eight yachts built to this design, mostly in the USA but one in NZ.
Thanks for your interest, I could drone on for days without 'repetition, deviation or hesitation' about these vessels but must remind myself this is a welding forum..
